September 10th is the Remembrance Day for Victims of Political Repression in Mongolia. For this year’s occasion, S.Odontuya, Member of Parliament and head of the State Acquittal Committee, B.Khuyagbaatar, Chairman of Songinokhairkhan District's Citizens' Representative Khural, and other officials as well as representatives from the victims’ families paid tribute and laid flowers at the memorial monument for the victims of the political repressions that is located at the foot of Songinokhairkhan mountain.

A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of MCA-Mongolia was held on September 08, 2022, in Tuul Conference room at MCA-Mongolia. The meeting was chaired by B. Munkhjin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, and attended by Board members, including MCC Resident Country Director Tina Yu and MCA-Mongolia Interim Chief Executive Officer D.Enkhjargal as well as MCA-Mongolia Chief Operating Officer D.Khulan, Acting Deputy CEO T.Enkhtungalag and other relevant directors of MCA-Mongolia.

Millennium Challenge Account Mongolia appoints Mrs. D. Enkhjargal as Interim CEO

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, July 25, 2022 – Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia announced that Mrs. Enkhjargal Danzalbaljir has been appointed as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the MCA-Mongolia, with the strict responsibility for leading MCA-Mongolia in external facing engagement, particularly engaging with the Government of Mongolia to achieve objectives of the Compact Agreement, which was ratified by the Parliament of Mongolia on January 31, 2019, building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders, implementing entities, the MCA-Mongolia Board, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Mrs. D. Enkhjargal succeeds and assume the responsibilities on July 25, 2022, until the permanent CEO of the MCA-Mongolia is hired.
