This document (including the Annexes) describes the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) that has been established by MCA-Mongolia to manage environmental and social risks and impacts related to the implementation of all the Projects developed under the Compact. The ESMS is designed to be consistent with the environmental and social safeguard laws of the Government of Mongolia, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Environmental Guidelines including the IFC Performance Standards (of 2012), the MCC Social Analysis Policy and Guidelines, MCC Counter-Trafficking in Persons (C-TIP) Policy, the MCC Guidance Note to MCAs on Sexual Harassment and the relevant sections of the MCA Mongolia’s Social Analysis and Implementation Plan (SGIP).
