Meeting on success of the Property Rights Project under the First Compact is held online

The Government of Mongolia and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) signed a five-year $284.9 million Compact in October 2007, which was designed to increase the country’s economic growth and reduce poverty, by investing in five project areas, such as health, vocational education, energy and environment, transportation, and property rights. A virtual stakeholders workshop on a performance evaluation of the Registry System Strengthening Component of the Property Rights Project (PRP) under the first Compact was organized by the Cloudburst Group, a contractor of the MCC on the June 3rd, 2020.

[Ulaanbaatar, May 11, 2020] – A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the MCA-Mongolia was held on May 28, 2020, in Tuul Conference room of the MCA-Mongolia office. The meeting was organized in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic with attendance by Mr. D. Tsogtbaatar, Chairman of the Board and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Mr. Gregory May, Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in Ulaanbaatar and other Board members.

MCA-Mongolia organizes public consultation sessions in Khan-Uul and Songinokhairkhan districts

As the accountable entity to implement the Mongolia Water Compact, MCA-Mongolia organized public consultation and stakeholder engagement meetings at Khan-Uul district from May 4 to May 6, 2020. The meetings introduced and collected feedback on the detailed design work of the Downstream Wells Activity, a key component of the Compact.
