The Government of Mongolia and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) signed a five-year $284.9 million Compact in October 2007, which was designed to increase the country’s economic growth and reduce poverty, by investing in five project areas, such as health, vocational education, energy and environment, transportation, and property rights. A virtual stakeholders workshop on a performance evaluation of the Registry System Strengthening Component of the Property Rights Project (PRP) under the first Compact was organized by the Cloudburst Group, a contractor of the MCC on the June 3rd, 2020.

[Ulaanbaatar, May 11, 2020] – A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the MCA-Mongolia was held on May 28, 2020, in Tuul Conference room of the MCA-Mongolia office. The meeting was organized in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic with attendance by Mr. D. Tsogtbaatar, Chairman of the Board and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Mr. Gregory May, Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in Ulaanbaatar and other Board members.

Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia (“MCA-Mongolia”), an accountable entity established to oversee the implementation of the Compact, intends to conduct pre-qualifications which will be followed by competitive biddings for the works contracts under Downstream Wells Activity.

Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia (“MCA-Mongolia”), an Accountable Entity established to oversee the implementation of the Compact, intends to conduct pre-qualifications which will be followed by competitive biddings for the below contracts for works under the Compact’s Downstream Wells Activity: • Construction of an Advanced Water Purification Plant (AWPP) and SCADA; and • Construction of Pipelines, Well houses, Pumping Station.

Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia (MCA-Mongolia) organized a kick-off meeting of individual consultants’ work to provide Cost Recovery technical assistance to the Water Services Regularity Commission (WSRC) on May 15, 2020, in the conference hall of the WSRC office.

As the accountable entity to implement the Mongolia Water Compact, MCA-Mongolia organized public consultation and stakeholder engagement meetings at Khan-Uul district from May 4 to May 6, 2020. The meetings introduced and collected feedback on the detailed design work of the Downstream Wells Activity, a key component of the Compact.

H.E Michael Klecheski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Mongolia, paid a visit to the Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia’s office to get updated on its daily operations and progress of the Compact implementation.

The Government of Mongolia, through Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia now invites sealed quotations from legally constituted IT equipment suppliers for Supply and Installation of UPS for the Server room of MCA-Mongolia Office. More details on these Goods are provided in the Request for Quotations (RFQ) document. The selection will be conducted through the shopping procedures as specified in the MCC Program Procurement Guidelines (PPG) and is open to all eligible suppliers as defined in the RFQ.

Lot 1: Licensed Software of Adobe /Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator/; Lot 2: Licensed Software of AutoCAD; and Lot 3: Licensed Software of ArcGIS.
