MCA-Mongolia is providing cost-recovery technical assistance to the Water Services Regulatory Commission of Mongolia (WSRC) under the Water sector sustainability activity, one of the three main activities of the Mongolia Water Compact. As part of the technical assistance, MCA-Mongolia, in collaboration with the National Statistical Office of Mongolia (NSO) and Cowatersogema International Inc. of Canada, conducted a study on the willingness of to pay (WTP) for improved water supply services among apartment and ger area household consumers in Ulaanbaatar. The WTP Study Report has been completed in English and Mongolian language in December 2021.

Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia (MCA-Mongolia) organized an online forum as part of the national campaign led by the National Sub-Council on Trafficking in Persons to recognize the International 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence to highlight Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)’s updated Counter-Trafficking in Persons (C-TIP) policy and MCA-Mongolia’s efforts to ensure zero-tolerance for Trafficking in Persons (TIP) in the Mongolia Water Compact’s infrastructure activities.

As part of the Industrial Pretreatment and Pollution Control Sub-activity under the Water Sector Sustainability Activity, a total of 12 tasks planned in the Industrial Pretreatment Plan approved by the Government of Mongolia on March 3, 2021, will be supported and implemented with the Compact funds. In order to discuss the roles of the state-owned and municipal laboratories in the procedures of wastewater sampling, analysis, pollution control and detection, imposing water pollution fee, the Millennium Challenge Account- Mongolia (MCA-Mongolia) organized a consultative meeting with state-owned and municipal laboratories on November 30, 2021, at the conference hall of the Fresh Water Resources and Nature Conservation Center.

DIRECTOR, ADMINISTRATION: The Director, Administration, is responsible for developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures and managing the daily operations of MCA-Mongolia, including office services, facilities management, transportation and logistics, information technology, and staffing and human resources. The Director, Administration, reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and supervises three managers in division of twelve (12) staff.
