The Gender and Social Inclusion (GSI) Team at the Program Management Consultant (PMC) responsible for the Mongolia Water Supply Project financed by the Millenium Challenge Account Mongolia is seeking highly motivated and passionate interns for the duration of 3 months with a possibility of a one- time extension of 3 more months. The interns are expected to gain hands-on experience in supporting the Engineer’s efforts in ensuring that gender equality, social inclusiveness, and community engagement are integral components of the project.
The general selection criteria will be:
- Above the age of 18 to comply with the zero tolerance on child labor
- Currently enrolled in the last year of undergraduate program in social sciences or a recent graduate.
- Adequate knowledge of gender and social inclusion concepts, frameworks, and approaches. Familiarity with integrating gender issues with infrastructure projects is desirable.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and data.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
The PMC GSI Team will provide a comprehensive onboarding process to familiarize the intern with the project, its specific goals and objectives of GSI, and relevant policies. This includes providing necessary training, introducing the intern to the team, and assigning a supervisor (GSI Assistant) to guide and support them during their internship.
