“SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF GER AREA SMART WATER KIOSK UPGRADE” project meeting is held

MCA Mongolia Water Compact has designed an extensive training program for a duplicated number of 200 USUG’s engineers and technicians. Our comprehensive evaluation of their baseline performance between 2019-2021 has identified priority areas for improvement, using the “AquaRating” international assessment and benchmarking tool for utility operation developed by the International Water Association.

The Water Service Regulatory Commission of Mongolia and MCA Mongolia organized an “Improving Technical Solutions on Drinking Water Quality” discussion with the aim of exchanging information on methods and technical solutions to ensure the safety of drinking water and the improving service quality of residential and public utilities.

A Kick-off meeting to start works under the Contract for the Construction of the Conveyance System and CHPP-3 and CHPP-4's Modification and SCADA, one of the main components of the Wastewater Recycling Activity under the MCC-Mongolia Water Compact signed between the Government of Mongolia and the U.S Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), was held on August 25, 2023 at Crystal Hall, Blue Sky Hotel. This is the start of the last of the four major construction works to be carried out with the Compact funding.

Within the framework of the Water Supply Project funded by the Mongolia Water Compact of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Public Awareness and Behavior Change Sub-Activity is one of the planned interventions. In compliance with the MCC's procurement process rules and regulations, the Asia Foundation was selected to develop the design of this sub-activity and the contract for "The Consulting Service for Design Development of Social Behavior Change Interventions for Mongolia Water Compact" was signed on June 9, 2023. The Kick-off meeting was conducted on June 30, 2023, at the Puma Imperial hotel, to kick-start the consultancy services.
