MAPA, the Turkish Company which has undertaken the construction works of the AWPP and Additional Works Project seeks for an Environmental Manager with the following requirements and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle the environmental management of the project,
- Conducting the duties indicated in the Environmental related management plans,
- Reporting to the Project Manager;
- Provide training and guidance to increase on-site environmental awareness of site staff;
- Site inspections;
- Coordinating with the site team in the event of an any environmental accident and/or incidents;
- Maintaining environmental records, and ensure that all records are completed accurately;
- Writing environmental daily & weekly reports and any other reports that Mongolian regulations requires;
- Preparing and following instrumental environmental monitoring schedule;
- Attending meetings.
Qualification and minimum requirement:
Education:
- BS and/or MS Degree in Environmental Engineering, or Biology, Chemistry Departments;
Work experience:
- Experience in managing environmental and social performance in at least two international projects of similar scale;
- Experience in implementation of Mongolian environmental regulations, laws, practices and procedures within the environmental compliance fields;
Communication and languages:
- Excellent command of English,
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and in Mongolian both verbally and in writing.
