
[Ulaanbaatar, September 03, 2020] – A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of MCA-Mongolia was held on September 03, 2020, in Tuul Conference room at MCA-Mongolia. The meeting was chaired by B. Munkhjin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, and attended by Board members, MCA-Mongolia senior management and relevant directors, as well as Michael S. Klecheski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Mongolia.


The meeting started with a presentation by E.Sodontogos, CEO of MCA-Mongolia on the current status of Program implementation. Thereafter, the Board discussed the Government progress on fulfillment of conditions to Compact entry-into-force and exchanged views on further steps to be taken. The Board also approved the Procurement Plan for October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021 and Quarterly Disbursement Request Package for Quarter 4, 2020.


MCA-Mongolia Board of Directors, chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, is comprised of nine voting members, including state secretaries of relevant line ministries and representatives from the private sector and civil society, as well as MCA-Mongolia Chief Executive Officer and MCC Resident Country Director as non-voting members.
Regular meeting of the Board of Directors is held on a quarterly basis. As of September 2020, the Board has met a total of 11 times, both on a regular and irregular basis, and discussed and resolved issues concerning Program implementation and MCA Mongolia operations.
