Ulaanbaatar city Bulk Water Supply Project being implemented under the MCC-Mongolia Water Compact is recognozed as “Green Solution of the Year” of  “Bloomberg TV Awards 2022” in Mongolia. 

MCA Mongolia’s second compact has the objective of reducing poverty through economic growth and focuses on fighting against climate change which is a climate-smart investment formulated by the efforts of Mongolia and the U.S Government. 

Ensuring a safe and sustainable supply of water to households and businesses in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, one of the world's most water-scarce and vulnerable cities to climate change impacts, and creating a more climate resilient UB is a smart way to combat climate change.
